Hi Scotty
 I had a similar problem with adding a drive to my 7500. Though it
doesn't matter you could have left it on th 0 bus and changed its SCSI
id by moving or installing jumpers on the pins that are used for
external mounting. I think the center set will give an id of 4. For
the second issue I purchased FWB's hard disk tool kit. formated and
mounted just fine.
