Convert to the Newton protocol? Why? Just write a new package that detects
the Stowaway and sends keyboard events. Through C++ would be the way the ROM
keyboard driver does it, through NS would probably be doable as well. You
could likely hack up something quick in NSBasic as a proof of concept.

Or, a hardware junkie could write a program for a PIC that converts Stowaway
scancodes to Newton Keyboard scancodes.
