Low: at what percent your newton thinks it's "low"
Dead: at what percent your newton thinks the battery is "dead"
You can change those numbers if you want, I dont remember how.
Current: maybe the amount of current your newton is drawing from the
battery. This would jump up if you were using the backlight with no
ac power plugged in at the time.
