Re: [NTLK] Emulators for Newton

There was a attempt to make a Apple II emulator for the Newton
called "Two in Hand" or something like that. But the author seems to
have dropped off the face of the planet.

Nope, the closest things to emulation on the Newton is various
terminal emulation. You have pilot doc readers. You have interpreters
like the ability to play Z games (infocom text adventures).

Then you have the jokes, the simulations, like the DOS prompt which
gives you the ability to see the Newton and function from a DOS prompt
like environment. You have the Macintosh system 8 looking program that
has some functionailty as a Newton desktop, but otherwise is just a
joke. Same goes for Win95 on the Newton.

As far as I know, there is no true emulator for the Newton. Unless
of course you count the Waba applications, which is a java like
environment and there are many programs written under that.

    Well, that's it for now.
