while i hesitate to offer opinions that differ from laurent's in
deference, i must say i have been using NCU in classic mode on my mac (not
restarting) and syncing via ethernet... while not fast to start up, once i
am there i can drop pkg's on the classic window from the OSX desktop and
they install fine. also have done a full backup. until i am very
estatically happy by finding an OSX/entourage sync, its not that much of a
deal as an OSX solution... does anyone know if NewTen will eventually work
with ethernet?

orig msg below...

I think that the main point was to provide a nature solution for those
running on OS X. NCU still works fine in OS 9, so people shouldn't feel
like
left over. It's not like there is no solution for OS 9, even though it's
not
the best one.

On OS X, there is no solution at all, except loading Classic and accepting
its limitations...

-Laurent.
