KitFr shouldn't be a problem I believe, I keep it frozen often and nothing
bad ever happened.
About the Russian, I absolutely agree with Anton. But you can install just
the MacCentre:Fonts and FreeStyle, then you'll be able to write and read in
Russian, but won't have Russian interface, alerts or Names bookmarks. And
you can freeze it freely, though it requires a restart after you disabled
Russian, cause it makes the system font disappear, apart from that it looks
like it's quite safe.
