Regarding the pencil eraser: You can do this safely with the
contacts on the board. As to the ribbon cable, in the earlier
models the contacts were made using a very thin layer of
carbon. If this is the same in the MP2x00's, the best thing
you can do is keep your hands off the contacts. Don't touch
them, don't try to clean them with anything.
