I don't post very often, but I always read the digests.
Anyway, I wanted to post, because I saw the posts about the WaveLAN Alpha 3
and ad-hoc mode.
I downloaded the Alpha 2 Driver and it worked right off the bat with my
Lucent WaveLAN turbo Gold card!
I docked via AppleTalk, I checked my email, and I surfed the web... All via
a wireless connection to my Base Station!! (v1.0 base station)
I hadn't seen anyone testing with the Gold card... Now we know it works!
After I used it for a little while, I lost the ability to connect. It was
fine after a reboot of the Newt... I am guessing that happened because the
driver is in "Alpha" development.
Very cool to be using the Newt without wires!
