Thanks. Just latched onto the FAQ. Will devour and see where I get to.
Had a good look for financial calculators this afternoon. Lots of
scientific ones but not many written for the finance professional. Came
across a calculator for valuing options but that was as close as I got.
Found NCU, NBU etc. Just clicked that installation of software requires a
separate installer. Connection Kits (with cable) look rare. Few ebay
vendors want to ship to New Zealand. However I found a site that describes
how to make a cable up. Time to get down to the electronics shop and pull
out the soldering iron.
Shot down to the local Apple retailer who sold me a genuine leather cover
for the MP2k for $NZ20!!! A victory at last.

In case you signed onto the list just AFTER the recent monthly 'resources
for answering questions' posting -- many people have good success by just
throwing terms at Google; the Newton FAQ link appears below; and at the
NewtonTalk link, you can get to a searchable archive of this list. My
mention of this in no way is intended to keep you from asking questions, but
rather to help you shorten your own learning curve. And if you find you
don't even know what it is you need to ask, you'll find plenty of helpful
folks on the list. We were all there at one point, and truth be told,
except for an exceptional few, we probably are STILL there on one topic or
another.
(Perhaps the link to UNNA should also appear in the list of URLs at the
bottom of each list message?!)
