If you start the dock application you have the choice between the present
available interfaces (serial, modem AppleTalk, IrDA) -> connect via
For an Ethernet connection you should use AppleTalk.
In Setup - Prefs you will find an entry AppleTalk and there you should be
able to chose > connect using EtherTalk < and than select the card type you
use.
If you cannot see your card type in the list or you do not have the choice
for AppleTalk using EtherTalk there is something wron with NIE installation
and/or your Ethernetcard driver.
