ZLib is something like a shared library, so you need it to use
software that calls it. It only implements one of the compression
methods used in zip archives, the zlib method ;)
Steve's UnzipBMP plug-in for Newt's Cape lets you browse Zip files
and if the ZLib is present and the files are compressed with the zlib
method (deflate), it will let you extract items.

I am not sure if it lets you extract packages or not.
