I took generic Methylphenidate for years, since there wasn't much of a
difference between it and brand-name Ritalin. Recently I switched to
Concerta SR which is actually a new brand name for a derivative of
genericized Ritalin. The cost doesn't seem that bad, and the effects
are a lot more reliable over the course of a full day.

Me too (officially diagnosed in the UK at age 30!!) thank god (or
Novartis) for Ritalin.

NB anyone tried Equasym from CellTech?? (generic Methylphenidate) I
would be interested to hear how you got on with it.
