Sorry... my rich text got turned on.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Is anyone beta testing Jaguar on the list? If so, can Rendevous and
iSync be used with the Newt over ethernet? Would a channel have to be
made for iSync to find the Newton?

http://www.apple.com/macosx/jaguar/rendezvous.html

Rendezvous lets ordinary users create an instant network of computers
and smart devices just by getting them connected to each other. The
computers and devices take over from there, automatically broadcasting
and discovering what services each is offering for the use of others...
Rendezvous works over today=92s most popular standard connection
technologies, including Ethernet, AirPort 802.11, Bluetooth, FireWire,
and USB. and it uses the standard, ubiquitous IP networking protocol for
its connections, the same protocol that runs the internet itself.

iSync ensures that address books and calendars flow seamlessly from a
user's Mac to all of their digital devices and back. Rather than
requiring a separate synchronization application for each type of
device, iSync works with the latest Bluetooth mobile phones, Palm
devices and iPod to keep all these devices up to date.

Peace,
Mike
