That's the problem I forgot to mention that I don't have serial on my
laptop. It's a Lombard series powerbook. And I really don't want to
spend $80 for a USB to Serial adaptor I'm going to use once. So, anyone
in the charlotte, NC area with a Newton willing to beam me the driver
for the card?

Nick

That's what you need to do.

No, there is absolutely no way to connect via IrDA between a Newton and

PowerBook. Forget it - just forget that they even have IrDA ports.

No again. The Linear Flash cards are not compatible with the SanDisk

cards (same technology as CF cards). And even if they were, no OS other

the Newton OS is able to work with its 'soups'.

I'm afraid, you need to install the driver for your card (Farallon
driver=

3Com plug-in) via serial cable to your Newton, or have it 'beamed'
from=20
another Newton to yours. After the drivers are installed and selected

AppleTalk, then you can connect your Newton to your Mac via ethernet.
