Are they going to get you the data cables since that was part of your
auction?

Subject: [NTLK] Newton 2100 from GEMEnterprises

Hi all,

Just my two-cents worth of what's my experience in dealing with them.

I ended my eBay auction with them under the seller ID "ILUVMYGTO" for
$249
on the 030102, which gets me a MP2100, Rechargeable Battery, AC Adapter,
32MB Pretec Flash Card, Hayes Optima 336 V.34 Data/Fax with EZJack Modem
Card, Serial Dongle Adapter, a data serial cable for Mac, a data serial
cable for Windows & last of all, a leather case.

I pay by credit card to BidPay, which is very tedious due to the fact
that
after they verify your card, then would they send a money-order to
GEMEnterprises, which is like a week before they will receive it. :p

On the 150102, I received an e-mail from GEMEnterprises stating that
they
have received payment for my auction-bid & will ship out that very day
by
UPSP.

And so on the 220102, I finally received my MP2100 here in Singapore.
The
packaging on the outside is just some corrugated box with lots of tape
around. But when I open up the box, I was very pleased that they
actually
use alot of this bubble-wrap to "encase" all my items within, which
makes it
very shock-proof. I've got what I've bid except for the serial cables
for
the Mac & the Windows. Guess he must have forgotten about it as he may
confused between my order and his latest auction bids which excludes the
data cables in his package nowadays.

My MP2100 is in really good condition. The screen is flawless, though
there
are some accidental "bump-marks" on the 2 corners of the top of MP, but
that
doesn't matter. On the whole, the MP2100 is wonderful.

So, my conclusion is this: GEMEnterprises, these people are good and
they
work fast to make sure it delivers ASAP. Their packaging is tops and
cares
about the product's end-state to make sure it will not be damage through
the
transition of delivery. Though now their min. auction bid is at $259 for
the
same spec. of items as mine, less the data cables, I think it's still a
good
buy considering the 32MB card and the Fax/Data Modem card that you'll
get.

I hope this will be some experience to gain for others who will like to
get
a MP for the first time.
