I don't know about 3 on a 2100, but when I used to use Aloha on my 120, it
was _essential_ to continuously do a garbage collection while getting my
email. If I didn't, it would die on me, due to lack of heap. In fact, to get
email on the 120, I would have to reset, and on reset, keep packages from
loading. Once it rebooted, I would open up Extras, and load only Aloha. Then
I had to immediately check my AOL email, and do the gc the whole time. It
was the only reliable way to get email on that device until Hardy finally
allowed you to choose the download chunks. :-) But yes, sometimes, in
extreme situations, doing something like this can help, but since the OS
does garbage collection itself, the benefit is mostly psychological. :-)
