I use NiMH in my OMP/100 with external charger. Spent about $20US for four
AAA cells and charger. Last a LOT longer than NiCd. I abandoned
rechargeable alkaline - poor performance & dependability.

I have not seen commercially available Li rechargeable cells yet - I avoid
the regular Lithium cells myself due to their cost. Go with NiMH.
