It works pretty well, for me at least. I don't screw around with
trying to keep two seperate set of contacts in sync, so all I use it for
is installing software and dumping my Names into KAB. The whole thing is
pretty modular, with individual perl modules handling each function (ie:
export dates to XOrganizer). The modules tend to get out of date for
some of the more rapidly changing applications (in the case of KAB, for
instance, I had to hack on the module to get it to work with the most
recent version of KAB).
I don't run OS X, so I don't know how well it runs under it.
Newtonlink will run on BSD, so I'd imagine it would run just fine.
However, I don't know how useful it would be. Newtonlink is oriented
towards talking to various tools that you might find on a unix box, and
I don't know if any of them run on OS X. You should at least be able to
use it to install applications.
If you want to send me a Pismo running OS X, though, I'd be
happy to check on it... ;-)
