[NTLK] Power Management Again

Okay, I'll explain again... first, I have my home wired for Home
Automation, that is my lights and other things are controlled by a
computer and motion sensors. Second, I want to hook up a NPDS (MP2000
web server). I want NOT to have to remove or swap the battery. I have
hooked up a X-10 module(it's like a mechanical timer, only it's
controlled by a computer) to the MP2000's AC charger, then plugged
the small connector into the MP2000. This is how is works so far..

The AC charger IS plugged into the X-10 module, BUT NO POWER is
present..X-10 module is powered OFF. The AC connector is plugged into
the MP2000. In this mode the MP2000 uses BATTERY, everything works
fine in this mode.

Now when the battery gets low I can have the X-10 module turn power
on to the AC charger, but when I do this, instead of starting a
charge cycle the MP2000 goes into a 'Waiting' mode (this is indicated
at the battery status). It won't change to 'Charging' until either
the AC connector (the little end) is physically disconnected and then
reconnected, OR if the MP2000 is 'Rebooted' after the AC charger is
turn on. This 'Rebooting' would work if I could send a AppleScript
from my Mac that controls the Home Automation, then I could turn the
AC charger on and the send 'reboot' command to the MP2000.

The whole point of this to AUTOMATE the MP2000.

Are their ways to communicate to MP2000 over a network with AppleScript?

I was hoping their was package that could be installed on the MP2000
that would solve this.

Thanks for ant help.
