I was under the impression that there were only a limited number of
charges possible before the pack died. To avoid death, I have a battery
pack in my 'guts' newt plugged in all the time. I keep another one in
my 'action' newt. Whenever the batteries in my action Newt get
precipitously low, I swap them.
