Same with Ameritech. A router will solve this problem plus let your Newton
and computer share the connection plus give you an ethernet hookup between
the two. Let me know if you need help setting things up with a router.

PPPoE, or Point-to-Point-Protocol-Over_Ethernet, which isn't supported on
the Newton.
