STILL not something the school system actually embraces
and the littlest students are the ones that lose their belief in themselves, that they CAN finish
but it is better than the 60's, and there are some teachers of learning disabled kids that are gifted, persistent and innovative (my heroes!)
or shd i say that the persistent survivors of the school system,who find a way to use their gifts, despite the school system- the students- are the heroes!
the best ld teachers i've seen are "differently abled", not using only the one or two types of intelligence that the school system focuses on...
