Hi Sacha,

I live in Holland as well and have a Nokia 6210 (which is not a fancy
phone).
I tried to use it (via serial connection) for getting Internet access, but
is is way to slow (9,6 kBps, because the dutch providers do not support
HSCSD which would allow up to 56 kBps...)
The point is that the phone needs a built in modem.
If it has you can write an application that allows you to dial from your
Newt directly using the serial commands.
Unfortunately the IR connection does not work at the moment because of the
protocols used on both sides are different. But maybe this problem will be
solved by means of a new Newton IR driver software.
For SMS I use NewtSMS (www.team-auweiler.de), which is absolutely great and
testsed for various phones, Nokia and Siemens as well.

In order to integrate the phone perfectly probably you would need the Nokia
card phone...
