there are a variety of tools out there.

one way that VNC 3.3a5 users might find amusing:
- open Word or whatever on your desktop (with VNC server running)
- hide VNC on Newton
- open Notes, select text, copy it and drag to edge of screen
- re-show VNC, drag and drop the Newton text onto your remote screen
  (or in older VNC, you can open remote Clipboard, drop it there,
  then Save and Send to server; then do remote paste command via kbd or
menu)
