Just a small reminder: Whatever cells are used in a Newton ARE used often:
They're used at least once at 3 a.m. each day for as long as the sleeping
time is settled. Assuming 5min sleep time, a current of 50mA and about
1000mAh accu capacity we can calculate 4.2mAh per day discharge which is
0.42% of the accu capacity. This will lead to theoretically 230 days till
the accu is completely empty, but not taking into account the minimum
voltage at which the Newton can't switch on. Or say it otherwise: The
1000mAh capacity of the accu is a theoretical value which is not useable. At
the minimum voltage a remaining charge is left.
