Tough question. In theory, I would think that if you don't patent it, then
anybody is free to take one, examine it and come up with something similar
for half the price! In practice, I don't see anybody taking up that task an=

hoping to make a profit by selling it less then you are...

that the rudeness was due to malice rather than incompetence. Thus, for
example: Microsoft's Windows NT is evil because it's a competent

are apparently there not to fix design bugs in Unix but rather to lock
