Yes, they are. Tap the Newton Menu and select Hide Button Bar. Makes
a small floating bar with six buttons. A further minimize button,
Newton Menu Button, Extras Drawer, Scroll up, Overview and Scroll
down. Great for rereading LOTR that we DON'T have on My Precious...

p.s. I saw a recent post on Dashboard and tried it out. The next day
I was so excited I registered my copy! It's like an upgrade. How did
I get along without it?
