Here's a bit of interesting news; rumor has it that John Sculley, the
father of the Newton, is in line to replace the CEO of Palm, who
recently resigned (after the debacle he's created this year at Palm.)

And of course, as many of you may know, Palm is switching over to using
the StrongARM processor (such as is used in the Newton 2k's) and the
required processor in the recently announced PocketPC 2002 machines is
the StrongARM. And of course they also bundle the descendant of the
original Newton HWR on the PocketPC's.

The evidence continues to mount that Apple had it more right than they
knew! $tevie Boy, you blew it on the Newton. It's not too late; the
Newton's STILL better than anything else. You can still bring it
back. Call it the iNewt if you want, we won't mind. (it'd have been
great to announce that one on Hallowe'en: "i of Newt, toe of frog...")

(who just got his iPod this weekend -- woohoo, it's nice! All ipod
replies offlist please!)
