John, for this purpose you can use NewtShare. It basically is a web server.

Besides the physical connection you'll also need to configure your TCP/IP
settings on both, your Newton and your PC. You will need to assign internal
IP addresses to them.
For example:
Your PC's IP: 192.168.1.1
Your Newton's IP: 192.168.42.2
Subnet-Mask must be 255.255.255.0
