Yup, any user activity and/or intensive app.

I don't run NPDS, but when the modem is in 'sleep' mode I get the screen
designs.

Make the prefs. as close to each other as possible.
In LAVA...
-I have 'sleep' at 30 min.
-I have 'backlight off' after 2 min.
-I have 'backlight on' manually.
-I have 'screen designs' after 1 minute.
In Newton Prefs...
-I have 'sleep' after 30 min.
-I have 'backlight off' after 2 min.

I also use a MP2x00. Are you using LAVA 2.0? I like this software. I use
apps. with sensitive info., the screen designs keep people looking but not
touching. Best of all, to regain screen access and turn on backlight, all
I have to do is tap on the screen. ;-)

My Newt. will still be productive way after the last Palm/Handspring is
six-feet under.
