[NTLK] Downloading to newtons

In addition to the MIME settings that Ed mentioned earlier that are required
to be set properly on the server for proper downloading and interpretation
(and the client browser I think), there is another, more critical,
requirement on the server side which either permits or denies a domain being
served properly.

Name-based virtual hosting (multiple domains hosted on the same IP address)
requires an html 1.1 capable browser in order to call up one of the domains
on that IP. If using an html 1.0 browser (such as NetHopper), one will only
be able to pull up one of the domains listed in the apache.conf file (not
sure if it is the first or the last in the list). Thus Chris pulling up one
of the other domains on Victor's box when using NetHopper.

So regardless of whether or not the MIME type is set properly for the .pkg
suffix, one will only be able to point an html 1.0 broswer to the desired
domain on a name-based virtual hosting server if it is the last virtual host
listed in the apache.conf file. Thus it is rather happenstance unless the
webmaster continually insures that any new domains are added to this file
above the domain serving files that need to be viewed with an html 1.0
browser.

I hope this helps,

Ken Whitcomb
