Hello. My name's Jim and I'm a new subscriber.

(Audience: Hi, Jim!)

I just bought an MP 2100. I'm a chronic gadgeteer and gizmo-fiend and
I've always wanted to see why the Newton inspired such fierce loyalty,
so fierce that it stands out even among Apple aficionados. Finally got
a good deal on one and after having played with it for about half an
hour, I have only one real question:

What were they thinking to kill this?

Anyway, I have to warn you that I'll probably ask a stupid question or
two but most of my time will be spent sitting quietly in the corner,
learning new stuff.

Here endeth the intro, and the message.

Jim
