[NTLK] NCU problem still on

I can completely back up my 2100 to my Ti (via a USB-serial box) and I
can back up the names and notes effortlessly to my Power Computing 150.
But I cannot, after much fiddling, get the 150 to receive the dates from
the 2100. It crashes with the message

" Unrecoverable error accessing system file. Product may need to be
reinstalled"

Which system, which product, I ask?

I did, in fact, reinstall NCU 1.0 by installing the beta (from
floppies, yet) and using the upgrade CD on it. No go either. I also
trashed the NCU prefs. No go. And I used a fresh blank Organiser 2.0
file as a target. Names and Notes hit that target, but not dates.

I have also pruned Dates a good deal, getting rid of some repeating
events up to 2009 (it takes a while). If the Dates file on the 2100 is
corrupt it could be that these repeaters don't show as repeaters and
must be singly deleted. Most of them are now gone.

Any tricks of the trade will be welcomed.
