Seems like this would be a FAQ, but I didn't find it when I looked

I have several sounds in WAV format that I'd like to use for my
alert/alarm sounds on Newt. What steps/software do I need to do this? I
have a PC and I can use CoolEdit to convert the sounds to pretty much
any format/bitrate, but i don't know how to make a sound package for Newt.
