Todd,
I have the same model of Modem as you. It works fine in the eMate but I get
the same error you get when I put it in my Newton 130(i.e. Can not format
this memory card error). I have not gotten any time to play with different
settings, but I wanted to let you know you are not the only one with this
problem. Don't worry about the PCMCIA slot not working, it still works. It
does the same thing for me when I check the modem, but when I put my memory
card back in, there is no problems. It looks like OS 2 does not like this
type of modem. Since I have the cigarette lighter modem it is not a
priority for me to switch.

If you only have a 120 you might consider a trade, with someone who has a
compatible modem.

Chris
