A few things you can try:
1) Try NBU and NPI instead of NCU and see if you still have this password
problem. If you do, then the problem is with your MP2100 instead of NCU.
2) You might have a problem with one of your soup, possibly the system soup.
Try to check soups with the "doctor" feature of SBM utilities (www.sbm.nu).
3) Where do you live? There might be someone near you who can try to connect
your MP on his/her PC and see if things go OK.
4) You can disable all packages and see if it helps. See the faq at
www.info-newt.com for instructions on the different kinds of resets that you
can do.
5) If all else fails, you still might want to try a hard reset, losing ALL
your existing data.
