I just performed a "hard" reset on my MP2000. The memory-gain was 16 k (788
k free internal vs. 762 k before).
I use the Newton for several hours daily, take notes and do almost all my
email on it.
In addition, I installed and deleted several packages. The last brainwipe
was a few days ago.
I do it regularly.
The overall feel is somewhat more fluent afterwards.
I have a Psion Series 5, where fragmentation is even more pronounced, and a
brainwipe every week or every other week restores the memory you've lost
under way.
