Buy 4 nickel hydride or nicad batteries at walmart, cost about $3 each. Get
a piece of a business card and fit it over the square button in the battery
box, then put the btteries in. As long as the button is pressed by the card
the charging circuitry will work fine.
It's been working for me that way for at least 2 years in 2 MP130s.
