I would also like to raise my glass to Paul Braham.
I was curious as to whether they could be used in a laptop, and he sent me
a second one to test with.
As it turns out, they can be used with most laptops, but my IBM ThinkPad
handles the card sockets differently than most laptops, so it was not to
be. It was fabulous of Paul to be willing to send a spare one - before
payment was even sent - to test with. The Newton user community never
ceases to amaze me. Thanks again Paul!
