Actually..yes it did! I was told by my high-school
english teacher (oh, some 20 years ago) that I had
developed an "incrackable code"...my handwriting! It
got so bad that I was told that I wasn't allowed to
turn in any more handwritten assignments...That's what
got me into computers in the first place...Typewriters
were really crappy at the time (like computers
weren't, but they were considerable "cooler")
I took a look at some of my 10th grade papers (before
the ultimatum) and I must say, my handwriting has
gotten worse! The reason being is that the Newton is
so good at recognizing any possible scrawl I manage to
get onto the screen that I find I no longer try to
write neatly! Of course, my Newton couldn't do this
without help! I have quite an extensive word
dictionary...For instance, if the Newton sees the word
"tne" it translates it to "the", It even fixes my
dyslexic mistakes...I used to have to pay atttention
to what I wrote, but with my Newton, I no longer have
to and as a result, I've become lazy and sloppy! So,
I'm certain that I have not modified my handwriting if
only to have it become worse through the marvelous
science that is Newton! (does this mean my writing
skills have attrified?)
