I know this is more of a Mac specific problem, but seeing as there was
another Mac issue recently (and this DOES have to do with the Newt
eventually...), I'll give it a shot:
I'm trying to get set up to do the direct export of spreadsheets from
Excel 5.0a to the Newton (I'm using QuickFigure Pro from Pelicanware).
The problem is; I've just installed the upgrade from Excel 4.0 to 5.0a
so that I can use QF Export 4.0, and when I try and launch the Add-in
Macro installer that [supposedly] installs the QuickFigure Export Menu,
Excel freezes the whole computer every time... I'm running OS 8.6 on a
Power Mac 9600/350. Does anyone on the list do this? What have you done
to make it work? I did the basic install of the Excel upgrade, do I need
to install something more involved (i.e. custom install)?
I'm getting real frustrated here! Any ideas or suggestions?
