There is some kind of limitation in the OS that insists to dial a "+1" in
front of any number that has an extension and/or an area code different from
the one defined in the current worksite. I ended up with multiple worksites
that have different configuration, depending if I make a long distance call
or not. I think that SoftwareBuro Mueller had an extension that was helping
with this, but I guess I didn't get it right, since I had to use multiple
worksites. For instance, I have a worksite called "Home - Local". I set it up
with a dialing prefix of 703, and an area code of 703. So, whenever I'm
making a call I know that is local, I pick this worksite. Then, I have
another worksite called "Home - LD". This one doesn't have a specific dialing
prefix, so that it put the "1" whenever I'm dialing a number with a different
area code then the one I set, 703 again. That's how I manage my calls with 10
digits.
