I think there's a package called Sony Remote or so in Steve Weyer's
excellent source code selection that comes with the purchase of
NewtDevEnv. All that'd be required is to replace the ir codes used
in the sources by the ones you need.
I've always been wanting to do this, but considering the fact
that all my remote-controllable devices came with a remote control
that was specifically designed for that purpose, I always found
something I considered more important ;-))
