>So Frank, what are some of your Newton soldering projects?

100 percent of these projects are repairs. Unfortunately
the 120's and 130's seem to be, well, let's say touchy, at
least in my experience. I had one 130 stop work one day for no
apparent reason and had to swap the main logic board. Another
one's backlight gave up the ghost during my vacation last
week and never turned back on again. This was a fault in the
display unit of which I fortunately had a replacement
due to the 3 corpses I have lying around.
I have two 130's that only work if they are bent
in a certain direction, both don't have any visible faults
or shorts (checked under a microscope). Another 120 I have
stopped work suddenly while I was reading a book and could
never be revived.
Still another 120 I once fixed didn't survive the cup of green
tea my brother's wife accidently poured on it, but this might
be considered understandable ;-))

If anyone out there wants to get rid of dead 130's and 120's
cheap, I'd be interested. I'm especially interested in working
130 main logic boards. And please, please, if you have schematics
for those machines or if you can tell me where I can buy them,
tell me. Without documentation all I can do is swap components,
if I had better docs I might be able to actually repair them.
