OK... We all know the scrub gesture right?
Four Up-Down-Up-Down strokes
or
Four Down-Up-Down-Up strokes.
You also should (already) know (by now) you can do this gesture over a
single character, an entire word, or over the whole (or the part) of a
block of selected text or objects.
Guess what? The delete gesture also works horizontally! Try this:
Four (slow and deliberate) strokes going Left-Right-Left-Right
or
Four (slow and deliberate) strokes Right-Left-Right-Left
You can do this over a single word or multiple words or selected blocks.
Remember: Gestures are slower, more exact and deliberate.

Ever notice, when someone comments on your Newton PDA,
the first thing they say is, "Wow, that's a big one."
